Immingham Town Council opens new Neighbourhood Office

The Town Council has opened new offices at the rear of the Civic Centre Building. The new office, which is fully accessible even by those with limited mobility, is a great improvement on the previous facility. This initiative by the Town Council has ensured that despite very difficult financial times, services will still be available in the Town. Town Council staff will be on hand at all times to staff the facility and deal with the full range of enquiries such as hall bookings, allotments and cemetery enquiries. Currently the office will be shared by Shoreline Housing Partnership under a 4 year agreement. It is anticipated the North East Lincolnshire Council will share the office later on in the year, ensuring that residents have an all in one “One Stop Shopâ€

The move is part of cost-saving initiatives being made at Shoreline offices. Shoreline business improvement manager Leigh Collingwood said: "We need to make sure that we provide value for money, but without inconveniencing our customers or reducing the service they get.

"The new office ensures that residents have a free direct line to our own service and our advisers. They can meet their local neighbourhood officer should they need to and they can pay their rent locally – now over five days."
The office is open Monday to Thursday, from 9am to 4.30pm and Friday, from 9am to 4pm. It is closed on bank holidays. Shoreline neighbourhood officers' surgery will be held at the office from 11am to 1pm on Wednesdays.
